What is Field Sales?
Field sales, also known as outside sales, refers to a sales strategy where sales representatives meet with potential customers in person, outside of the office. This is the traditional model of a salesperson traveling to a client's location for meetings, demos, and negotiations. It's a high-touch approach that is very effective for building strong relationships and selling complex or high-value products. In a partner context, a vendor might have a field-based channel manager who travels to visit key partners in their territory, providing face-to-face support and strategic planning.
