Exit Strategy

What is Exit Strategy?

An exit strategy is a plan that a business owner or investor has for eventually cashing out of their investment. It's about how they plan to leave the business. Common exit strategies include selling the company to a larger corporation (an acquisition), taking the company public through an Initial Public Offering (IPO), or having a management buyout. While it might seem strange to plan your exit when you're just starting, having a clear exit strategy in mind can help guide your business decisions and make your company more attractive to investors and potential partners.
