What is an Attribution?
Attribution is all about giving credit where credit is due. In sales and marketing, it’s the process of figuring out which marketing effort or partner led to a sale. Did the customer buy because of the first blog post they read, or the final ad they clicked? Attribution models help answer that question. This is especially important in partner sales, where multiple partners might interact with a customer. Getting attribution right ensures that partners are compensated fairly for their influence and helps companies understand which of their partners and marketing activities are most effective.
